Dancer/Chia-Hui Cheng

ニューヨークでダンスを習いながら育ち、ロサンゼルスの大学でコンテンポラリーダンスを 専攻、卒業。その後ロサンゼルス、リンカーンセンターを含むニューヨークの数々の舞台を踏む。 振付家としてニューヨークで舞踏家 Eiko and Koma と、ロサンゼルスでは Project Bandaloop の メンバーら、Oni Dance、ledges and bones と創作活動を行う。現在はヨーロッパ、アジア各地の コンテンポラリーダンスを研究中。人間の限界を超えるような肉体を超越した動き、内なる底から 湧き出すイマジネーションを直に伝える振付を追求している。 Chia-Hui Cheng grew up dancing in New York. She studied and graduated with a B.A. for contemporary dance in Los Angeles. She has performed in various venues in Los Angeles and New York including Lincoln Center. She has choreographed with Eiko and Koma in New York, and have worked with members of Project Bandaloop, Oni Dance, and ledges and bones in Los Angeles. She is currently exploring contemporary dance in Europe and Asia. She is really interested in pushing the boundaries of the human limits, in the exploration of hyper-physical movement, and choreographing with the interest of viscerally communicating her imaginations in the deepest crevices of her mind.
