ニューヨークでダンスを習いながら育ち、ロサンゼルスの大学でコンテンポラリーダンスを
専攻、卒業。その後ロサンゼルス、リンカーンセンターを含むニューヨークの数々の舞台を踏む。 振付家としてニューヨークで舞踏家 Eiko and Koma と、ロサンゼルスでは Project Bandaloop の メンバーら、Oni Dance、ledges and bones と創作活動を行う。現在はヨーロッパ、アジア各地の コンテンポラリーダンスを研究中。人間の限界を超えるような肉体を超越した動き、内なる底から 湧き出すイマジネーションを直に伝える振付を追求している。 Chia-Hui Cheng grew up dancing in New York. She studied and graduated with a B.A. for contemporary dance in Los Angeles. She has performed in various venues in Los Angeles and New York including Lincoln Center. She has choreographed with Eiko and Koma in New York, and have worked with members of Project Bandaloop, Oni Dance, and ledges and bones in Los Angeles. She is currently exploring contemporary dance in Europe and Asia. She is really interested in pushing the boundaries of the human limits, in the exploration of hyper-physical movement, and choreographing with the interest of viscerally communicating her imaginations in the deepest crevices of her mind. |

台湾出身。イリノイ大学アーバナ・シャンペーン校よりダンス専攻で卒業。 アメリカ、香港、マレーシア、 カナダ、台湾、ベルギー各地で舞台に立つ一方、自身の作品も数々発表する。 ダンスムーヴメントを 自身の探求と捉えている。パフォーマンス、作品、指導には、イメージ、 自覚、肉体的チャレンジを 重んじている。 現在「肉体と精神の繋がり」をコアコンセプトに置き、自身のTipsy Point Projectのディレクター を担当。 Kuan-Yu Chen is an artistic director of Tipsy Point Project working body-mind connection as a central concept. She is a native of Taiwan and received a BFA in dance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA. She has performed and presented work throughout United States, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Canada, Taiwan, and Belgium. She views quality of movement to be a personal journey. Imagery, mindful awareness, and physical challenges are valued in her performance, choreography, and teaching. |
| 原 みすず ３才よりクラシックバレエ１５才からジャズダンスをはじめる。 昭和音楽大学短期大学部バレエコースを卒業後バレエ講師をしながらダンサーとしても 活動し２００９年渡米。NYにてJennifer Archibald, Nathan Trice, Lindsey Dietz Marchant, Oliver Steele, Mei Yamanaka らの作品に出演。 この冬再びNYへ跳び立つ。
Misuzu Hara begins learning classical ballet from the age of three, and then after
jazz dance from 15.
She pursues her study in dance at Showa Academy of Music
where she majors in classical ballet.
Upon graduation, she teaches ballet while
performing as a dancer. In 2009 she moves to New York
where she performs in pieces
by Jennifer Archibald, Nathan Trice, Lindsey Dietz Marchant, Oliver Steele,
Mei
Yamanaka, among others. This winter, Misuzu will fly off to New York once again.
